Pediatric Nursing Excellence Conference Hosted in Pittsburgh This Week
Area nurses and students can still register for this education and networking event
PITTSBURGH – The Society of Professional Nurses (SPN) 33rd Annual Conference is being held in Pittsburgh this week, April 26-28, at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel. The conference is a great opportunity for pediatric nurses to advance their professions and clinical knowledge while connecting with individuals also in the field.
SPN is the premier pediatric society representing more than 3,600 pediatric nurses and 28 specializations with a mission of supporting pediatric nurses in their practice by providing educational resources, news in pediatric trends and opportunities to connect with other nurses throughout the country.
The theme of this year’s conference, the first-ever in Pittsburgh, is Building Bridges & Making Connections. It is open to both SPN members and non-members as well as students. For more information on the conference and to register to attend, visit pedsnurses.org.
“We’re thrilled to be working with the Society of Professional Nurses to host this event in Pittsburgh,” VisitPITTSBURGH Chief Sales Officer Andrew Ortale said. “We’re lucky to live and work in a city that continues to be a mecca for innovation with some of the best hospitals in the nation, so we’re proud to welcome others to collaborate and learn here.”
UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh has consistently been recognized among the best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
“We’re excited to be in Pittsburgh for the first time,” Executive Director Kimberly Eskew said. “We have a great lineup of educational and networking opportunities planned this year and know that attendees are going to enjoy it.”
