The Stray Cats
The Stray Cats are an American rockabilly trio formed by guitarist-vocalist Brian Setzer, bassist Lee Rocker and drummer Slim Jim Phantom. Known for reviving 1950s-style rockabilly with a distinctive visual style and modern rock energy, the group became prominent in the early 1980s. Their self-titled 1981 album produced “Runaway Boys,” “Rock This Town” and “Stray Cat Strut,” with the latter two becoming American Top 10 hits. Other recognizable songs include “(She’s) Sexy + 17.”
