Charlie Parr
Charlie Parr is a Duluth-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose deeply personal music draws from country blues, traditional folk, and the American roots tradition. Performing with resonator and 12-string guitars, Parr pairs earthy, intricate playing with a weathered voice and empathetic songwriting shaped by working-class lives, regional history, and folk music’s enduring storytelling. His acclaimed catalog includes Little Sun, released through Smithsonian Folkways in 2024. In 2026, Parr continues that tradition with Rooming House, a poignant conceptual folk opera exploring community, hardship, and resilience through richly drawn Upper Midwestern characters.
