Whiskey Rebellion Festival
The Whiskey Rebellion Festival is held by the Bradford House Historical Association.
The Whiskey Rebellion Festival honors the significant period of America’s early days through historical reenactments, period exhibitions and demonstrations, family fun, frontier art, heritage music, and food while shining a national spotlight on the city, county, and region. Community-focused entertainment combines nationally renowned artists to create a festival that acknowledges the past, celebrates the present, and look toward the future. The festival always is held the second weekend in July.
The festival takes place in downtown Washington, Pa, with a footprint covering the Washington Financial parking lot at Wheeling Street, traveling down Main Street, and ending at Maiden Street. The main events take place on Saturday. The event kicks off with a history parade. The Bradford House, the Whiskey Rebellion Education and Visitor Center and the Meeting House are open for tours during the day on Saturday. And then Saturday concludes with a music headliner.
The festival is comprised of:
