Two Global Phenomenon: Vintage Car Finds and FIFA Fan Zone
Cap off your Pittsburgh weekend with one of the city’s most beloved traditions: The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, returns and is celebrating its 44th anniversary! This year the event takes place on July 11-19, with Race Weekend taking place at Schenley Park, July 18-19.
This event is the nation’s largest vintage street race, and the only one that is staged on public roads. As more than 3,000 vehicles display their speed, feel the thrill as you are just feet away from the track.

The new additions of the Grand Prix include two new and exciting tracks. The Panther Hollow hill climb starts at the Phipps Conservatory and goes through to the Bob O’Connor Golf Course. The Schenley Oval starts out at The Boulevard of the Allies and races a two-mile loop through Pittsburgh.
Enjoy the show and take it all in, browse various tents filled with sponsors and exhibits, including the Peoples Gas Kids tent, and explore the full day of food, drinks, vendors, and activities that put you amidst the action.
After exploring the display of stunning vintage vehicles on Sunday, join fellow Pittsburghers in another global marvel: the FIFA World Cup Watch Party!
Acrisure is also hosting the free FIFA World Cup Fan Zone event taking place on the field and in the stands from 2pm-6pm, with the FIFA World Cup Championship starting at 3pm. This experience will include live music, youth soccer clinics, festival-style foods, activities for the whole family to enjoy, and a thrilling match you won’t want to miss.

City Information & Getting Around
Planning ahead can help you make the most of your weekend. Be aware of road closures associated with festival events and allow extra travel time when moving between destinations.
For transportation and parking information:
- Check local road closure updates before heading downtown. Visitors coming to Pittsburgh this July should be aware of planned closures on I-376 near the Squirrel Hill Tunnel, which may affect travel times. For the latest traffic conditions, detours, and closure information, visit 511PA.
- Use ParkPGH to view real-time parking availability in Pittsburgh garages.
- Consider taking the T Light Rail for convenient access to downtown and nearby event locations.
