Pittsburgh is excited to welcome the best in NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey to The City of Champions!
The 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Frozen Four will take place April 8 & 10 at PPG Paints Arena, home of the five-time Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Robert Morris University and SportsPITTSBURGH are proud to again serve as hosts of this exciting championship event.
Due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19, ticket opportunities are currently on hold for the event. We recognize the uncertainty caused by the pandemic, and we will provide timely updates as more information becomes available.
Sixteen teams will compete in a single-elimination tournament. Of those 16 teams, six conference champions will receive automatic qualification bids while the remaining best 10 will be selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee.

Regionals for the championship will be held March 26-28 at four different locations. The winning team from each pod of four will advance to Pittsburgh for the Frozen Four.
Though we are not sure if there will be the opportunity to welcome back fans in person for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Frozen Four, our team is creatively working to come up with some fun ways to engage with college hockey fans. Stay tuned for some exciting virtual opportunities!
